If you"ve got a passion for design and working with computers then a career in computer aided design would be ideal. It involves creating computer generated drawings to prepare information that is required for a construction project. It is predominantly office based, however you will spend time on site finalising designs and making any amends as the project commences.
Good GCSE grades are recommended, plus a BTEC or HNC/HND qualification in Construction, Building Surveying or Civil Engineering. To qualify for a degree or HND you will need 5 or more GCSE"s grades A-C and a minimum of 2 A Levels or BTEC equivalent, such as the CBE Diploma.
