Service & Maintenance Engineers fall under Heating & Ventilating in the Building Services Industry. They develop service and maintenance programs and carry out maintenance and repairs on all heating and ventilating systems and equipment.
Qualifications
At Leeds College of Building we offer a 1 year full-time course in Building Services, you will then need to move on to an apprenticeship in your chosen field. Or you can enter straight onto an apprenticeship. To become a qualified Service & Maintenance Engineers you have to complete an advanced apprenticeship.

Practical skills, learn and apply technical information, ability to follow technical drawings, willing to work in confined spaces, normal colour vision
Salary
Salaries range between £12,000 for a trainee up to £40,000 a year
