Bench Joiner
Bench joiners tend to be based in workshops, they prepare a number of products before installation, such as doors, staircases and windows. Often they can create fitted furniture such as cupboards and wardrobes. Hours of work vary, typically they are Monday to Friday with overtime at weekends.
Qualifications
Bench Joinery is usually offered as an apprenticeship, where you will combine working on site with time in college. Good GCSE"s are recommended, particularly in Maths & English. At Leeds College of Building entry is via a basic skills test.

Salary
Salaries start from £11-15,000, potential to rise up to £21,000. Can increase for supervisory roles.
