Health & Safety Manager
Health and Safety Managers are responsible for reducing the risk of harm or injury in the workplace or out on site. They give advice on how to comply with health and safety laws, prepare policies and procedures, visit sites to assess safety and investigate accidents. Health and Safety Managers typically work Monday to Friday, standard working hours and you are mainly office based.
Qualifications
Entry critera varies, you will often need experience or future involvement with health and safety to apply for one of the Health and Safety courses at Leeds College of Building. Many enter the field after gaining experience in another part of the business such as production management or progress from a junior health and safety role. At Leeds College of Building we offer IOSH Managing Safely and the NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health and Safety.

Salaries range between £20,000 and £22,000 for a trainee and IOSH chartered practitioners earning up to £42,800 a year
