Leeds College of Building are actively involved with international partners to offer both educational and cultural experiences for our students to complement their studies. 

The projects offer an opportunity to explore new technologies, construction techniques and materials and aim to further inform career choice. 

The projects have been invaluable in providing the students with the confidence to participate in activities in other countries and to share their experiences of studying and working in construction within different cultures, languages and climates.

Berufskolleg Ost der Stadt partnership with Leeds College of Building

In April 2012 we celebrated our 20^th year of partnership with our partners from Berufskolleg Ost der Stadt Essen, Germany.  This has allowed for groups of students, from both colleges, to partake in workshop activities, cultural trips and work placements.

The most recent project, the Comenius Project "Building the European House" has involved the following:

Part 1 (14 October - 23 October 2011) - 12 students and 2 staff visit Leeds College of Building to carry out workshop activities, site visits and presenting their work

Part 2 (10 February - 19 February) - 10 students and 2 staff visit Berufskolleg Ost der Stadt Essen, Germany to carry out workshop activities, site visits and presenting their work
