All students are entitled to join the Student Union as soon as they start at the College. The office is situated at the North Street site. Becoming a member of the Student Union entitles you to a Democracy Card. This card is your local student union membership card which can be used for access and/or voting purposes and receiving campaign and other NUS information.

NUS Extra is the new student discount card which will cost you £10. The NUS Extra card will get you exclusive discounts available on the high street and online, in many cases the discount is more than 10%.

The Student Union run the enrichment programme and organises activities such as sports events, social functions and outdoor pursuits.

Enrichment activities are available to all full time students, regardless of gender, age or ability, and provide students with opportunities to broaden their experiences and enhance their personal development. Enrichment activities take place on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Every student can enrol on one or more enrichment activity. The range and variety of activities on offer means there is something to cater for every individual. A College shouldn’t just be somewhere you come to get qualifications, but a place where you can enjoy yourself and develop interests and skills that can be continued for life.

The range of activities covers various individual and team activities, including:
