How to get into the Construction Industry
There are plenty of ways to get into the construction industry, whether you are just leaving school, college or university or want to learn on the job through an apprenticeship or part-time.
The easiest way to break it down is into academic and practical roles. If you are interested in the theory side of construction, for example design, engineering and management then you should consider the academic route. If you are more hands on and like to build and make things, for example brickwork, carpentry & joinery, painting & decorating then the practical route is the place to start.
