Practical Route
Age 16-18
There are two routes available, a full-time college course or an apprenticeship.
Full-time college courses usually last 1-2 years, some sectors require you to complete an NVQ qualification before you qualify, these are work related qualifications which are designed to ensure you have the skills and knowledge to do a job. We have a wide range of full-time courses for school leavers.
An apprenticeship combines hands-on experience at work with studying at College, either through day or block release. You have to be employed to do an apprenticeship at the College. They are perfect if you want to earn and learn at the same time. Tips on how to find an employer, and sample letters and CV’s can be found here.
Adult 19+
