Application Information

I’ve applied for a course at the College starting in September 2020 – what will happen with my application?

The government announced that GCSE, A Level and Level 3 students will not be completing their exams as normal this year, we appreciate how disappointing you may find this news, after all the hard work you have put into your studies.

We are awaiting further guidance from the government, and we want to reassure everyone who has applied or is considering applying that we are here to support you and your next steps in your education.

The College Admissions Team are reviewing the application process for all courses.

Information for 16-18 school leaver, apprenticeships, higher education and adult part-time courses can be found in the  FAQ section below.

We would appreciate your patience at this time as it may take longer than usual for the Admissions Teams to respond to enquiries.

Application Information by Course Type

16-18 School Leaver Study Programmes

We want everyone to remain as safe as possible, so we have changed our application process.

If you have applied for a 16-18 study programme, we will be in touch via email shortly to make you an offer.

If there are entry requirements for your course, then they will be stated on the email, and you will receive a conditional offer. If there are no entry requirements, then we will send you an unconditional offer.

You can help us plan for your future by letting us know whether or not you want to take up our offer by getting in touch with us. The contact details will be on the email.

It's uncertain how awarding bodies will be giving GCSE grades this year, but as soon as we know, we will put that information on our website.

If you had an interview booked with us, this will no longer be taking place. Instead, we will be sending you an email with an offer as outlined above.

If you have told us that you have Special Educational Needs or a disability we will be contacting you by phone to do a needs assessment to find out how best to support you at College.

If you have an Education, Health and Care Plan we will be contacting you to discuss your needs. We will have to delay any transition visits to the College that may have been planned.
