Student Sport Maker
Would you like to become a Student Sport Maker?
Sport Makers, quite simply, make sport happen.
You can bring the inspiration, the support, the organisation or the skill to others. Your passion for sport makes the whole thing possible.
You can make sport happen however you want for anyone aged 16+. Here are four suggestions for you to consider. It doesn’t matter if you choose one or all of these ways - they all count as long as you record your hours online.
Organise sport for your friends - You provide the encouragement and organisation. You round up your friends to arrange something fun you can all do together, such as a bike ride.
Help out a local sports club or event - You provide the support. You help a local club attract more members or help out at a local event. You have a skill that can be used to do this, you might marshal at a local cycle ride.
Use your ability to help others - You have the skill. You use your sporting knowledge to pass tips on to others, you might motivate your friends during fitness workouts.
Set up regular sessions and friendly competitions - You are the leader. You set up and organise local sporting events, such as a 5-a-side football tournament at your local sports centre.
Here are some great reasons to become a Sport Maker:
Play more of the sports you enjoy! This is your chance to keep active through sport and to help others get involved too.
It’s rewarding! Through Sport Makers, you can give something back to the community. By helping more people play sport, you’ll feel a great sense of achievement for your efforts.
Learn new skills and make new friends! With Sport Makers, you’ll learn lots of new skills that you can add to your CV, so it’s sure to help your career. We’ll hook you up with sporting organisations and clubs and you’ll meet other Sport Makers - some of whom may end up being friends for life!
