Requirements

The course is suitable for existing or potential site supervisors and managers with suitable experience on construction and building sites. Some preliminary knowledge of health, safety and welfare legislation would be useful.

Description

The course covers the following areas:

  • Introduction to health and safety responsibilities

  • Managing health and safety

  • Responsibilities of managers and supervisors

  • Health and safety monitoring and auditing

  • Control of hazards and risks

This is a nationally recognised examinable training scheme accredited by Construction Skills (CITB).

If your company is registered with Construction Skills (CITB) grants may be available, alternatively other potential part funding of the course may be available.

Funding may be available for this course from Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership (LEP). LEP Skills Service helps businesses to identify their skills needs based on their business growth objectives and then find the right training solution. Small and medium-sized businesses based in the Leeds City Region that have a budget to put towards training could be eligible for funding.
