National Skills Fund has been set up by the Government as part of the UK’s Plan for Jobs. It aims to help individuals to train and gain the valuable skills set they need to improve their job prospects and support the economy. The scheme has been introduced to encourage adults in England to retrain, gain new skills to make them more employable.

Learners could be eligible to receive fully funded support for their first Level 3 Qualification at Leeds College of Building through the National Skills Fund. Eligibility criteria for a FREE place includes learners living in the UK as residents for the past 3 years or having the right to work and study in the UK. Aged between 19-23 and those who have already achieved a Level 2 qualification in a particular trade area, and those who do not previously have a Level 3 qualification or equivalent. Learners aged 24 + are also eligible for fully funded support and will be supported through the Adult Education Budget, subject to meeting eligibility rules.
