Would you like to find out more about the higher and degree apprenticeships that are available at the College?

We are hosting two events in May that will provide both employers and students the opportunity to find out more about the higher and degree apprenticeships that the College will be delivering. The events will also cover the progression opportunities for level 3 apprentices.

The HE team have put together a useful guide on higher and degree apprenticeships, you can download it below.

Why LCB?

Our higher and degree apprenticeships combine college study with workplace learning. They offer a different route into professions which are traditionally filled by graduates.

Leeds College of Building was one of the first colleges in the UK to deliver higher apprenticeships in construction and the built environment. We work alongside employers and industry bodies to ensure each apprenticeship provides the skills required by the industry.

Key facts:

  • We’re the only college in the UK dedicated to construction and building, making us nationally and internationally recognised for delivering courses and apprenticeships in this field.
  • Our professional and technical apprenticeship achievement rates are at 80%, putting us amongst the top providers in the UK
  • We work with over 500 employers
  • We currently train 1,600 apprentices
  • Many of our apprentices are outstanding, winning industry recognised awards like the CIHT Apprentice of the Year, BTEC Outstanding Apprentice of the Year and the ICE Jean Venables Award
  • We offer a recruitment service to employers and can identify potential apprentices
