Entry requirements

This course requires 5 GCSE’s including a grade 3 or above in both maths and English. Any student who applies for the course without the required predicted grades may be invited in for an interview to assess their suitability for the Level 1 Extended Certificate course.

Any offers will be subject to behaviour and attendance checks with their current/previous school and this will be taken into account when confirming their offer.

All students are required to attend a Welcome event and Enrolment week to fully enrol on to a course. These events are invitation only events and if you are unable to attend the date given, you will need to notify us at admissions@lcb.ac.uk.

Students will be assessed in the first six weeks of the course and their programme could change depending on their ability, behaviour and attendance.

For more information, contact our Admissions team on admissions@lcb.ac.uk

What can I do after this course?

After completing this course there are a number of options available; depending on your final grade you could move onto an apprenticeship, or a study programme course in bricklaying, carpentry & joinery, painting & decorating, plastering and wall & floor tiling.
