This multi-skills course is ideal for those who are unsure which route to chose.
Students will learn basic skills in the following areas:
Bricklaying
Carpentry & Joinery
Painting & Decorating
Plastering
Wall & Floor Tiling
Our study programmes include a vocational course, English and maths, work experience and employability skills.
Entry requirements
This course requires 5 GCSE’s including a grade 3 or above in both maths and English. Any student who applies for the course without the required predicted grades may be invited in for an interview to assess their suitability for the Level 1 Extended Certificate course.
Any offers will be subject to behaviour and attendance checks with their current/previous school and this will be taken into account when confirming their offer.
All students are required to attend a Welcome event and Enrolment week to fully enrol on to a course. These events are invitation only events and if you are unable to attend the date given, you will need to notify us at admissions@lcb.ac.uk.
Students will be assessed in the first six weeks of the course and their programme could change depending on their ability, behaviour and attendance.
