This plumbing course is ideal for those who want to pursue a career in plumbing.
Plumbers install, service and repair water supply, sanitation and heating systems. They also install bathroom suites including showers, toilets and basins.
Our study programmes include a vocational course, English and maths, work experience and employability skills.
Students also have the opportunity to take part in sport and enrichment activities alongside their course.
How to cut and join plastic pipe ready for installation
How to prepare the workplace/site ready for work to be carried out
The health and safety legislation relating to the installation and maintenance of electrical and plumbing systems
The science behind plumbing e.g. heat transfers, power, forces and pressure
How to install bathrooms, heating systems, and waste sanitation systems (level 2 only)
How to cut, bend and solder copper pipe ready for installation (level 2 only)
No matter what level you are currently working at, you will continue learning English and maths throughout your course.
Entry requirements
The Level 1 Diploma requires 5 GCSEs, including English and Maths at grade 3, and 3 other subjects with an average grade 3.

What can I do after this course?
After completing this course there are a number of options available, depending on your final grade you could progress on to the Level 2 Diploma and then a Level 3 Technical Diploma. Or an apprenticeship in plumbing or gas engineering.
Please note this course is training only and to achieve the full trade qualification and become fully qualified, you must have on site experience and assessments.
