Course Overview

The T Level in Civil Engineering is a two-year technical study programme designed with employers to give young people the skills needed to progress into a technician career in the construction industry.

Typical roles include civil engineering technician, CAD technician, consulting civil engineer or design engineer.

T Levels will offer students a mixture of classroom learning and 'on-the-job' experience during an industry placement of at least 45 days.

They will provide the knowledge and experience needed to open the door into skilled employment, further study, or a higher apprenticeship.

  • T-levels are two year courses
  • Your time is split between 80% classroom learning & 20% industry placement
  • Placements are approximately 45 days (about 7 weeks)
  • T Levels have been designed with leading businesses and employers to give you the knowledge and skills you need
  • T-level grades will be given as pass, merit, distinction, or distinction *

Entry Requirements

Four GCSEs at grades 4 or above including GCSE English & Maths.

You’ll also be interviewed by one of our tutors and your school attendance report and reference will be taken into consideration.


What can I do after this course?

After completing this course, several options are available; you could move onto a higher education course at the College, including a full-time Higher National Certificate (HNC), Higher National Diploma (HND) or a Higher Apprenticeship, or progress to university.
