CCN1 course content

This ACS Domestic Core Gas Safety CCN1 re-assessment course is a necessary requirement of the Nationally Accredited Certification Scheme for Gas Fitting Operatives (ACS), and is required by anyone working on domestic gas installations and appliances.

CCN1 course content typically includes:

  • Gas safety regulations and other relevant legislation (initial training only)
  • Combustion, relevant pressures and gas rates
  • Gas pipe work
  • Tightness testing and purging, including low and medium pressure
  • Chimney systems, recognition and testing
  • Ventilation
  • Gas controls
  • Flue gas analysis

Entry requirements

Applicants must have recently completed the BPEC Gas Foundation Course or be experienced category 1 gas fitting operatives who hold ACS, ACoPs, S/NVQ or City & Guilds Gas Qualifications.

This training is revision/refresher only. The assessment includes a written and practical exam.

Our gas assessment fees are not subject to VAT and include registration, certificate fees and learning materials. The training is delivered at our Hunslet Campus, in Leeds City Centre, in modern, bespoke facilities, allowing you to replicate the domestic and commercial work you do on a daily basis.
