Course overview

The IOSH Managing Safely course is designed for managers and supervisors in any sector/industry or organisation worldwide. The course is designed to give managers their first understanding of health and safety in the workplace and a clear understanding of carrying out risk assessments. Learners will get up to speed with practical actions they need to take, as well as gaining the knowledge and techniques to tackle health and safety issues they are responsible for. More importantly, this course highlights the importance of health and safety being an integral part of day-to-day management in the workplace.

  • Understanding responsibilities
  • Understanding hazards
  • Investigating incidents
  • Measuring performance

Anyone and everyone in a working role who wants to learn the basics of safety and health.


Progression opportunities

Completion of IOSH Managing safely gives the candidate understanding of health and safety to progress to a Level 3 health and safety qualification such as a Nebosh or CITB Site safety course.
