Course overview

This is a Level 4 Construction Quantity Surveying Technician apprenticeship.

If required, a Level 3, 1 year Bridging course to HE is available at an additional fee to prepare the candidate for the HTQ. This is dependent on the candidate’s current qualifications and industry experience.

The first year and second year of the level 4 apprenticeship includes a HTQ CBE (Surveying pathway) with specific units including:

  • Construction Practice & Management,
  • Legal and Statutory Responsibilities in Construction
  • Construction Technology and
  • Financial Management and Business Practices in Construction

A portfolio of evidence will also be progressed and developed throughout the practical period of the standard. Apprentices will also complete an online portfolio of evidence which demonstrates that each of the knowledge, skills and behaviours in the standard, have been met in readiness for the end point assessment. This online portfolio of evidence will be supervised by in-company mentors and LCB assessors.

Completion of the apprenticeship standard will be confirmed following the satisfactory conclusion of an end point assessment (EPA).
