Please note this is a Part-time course, not a Full-time.
A BTEC Extended Diploma, Diploma, Subsidiary Diploma, Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship or one A level, in a relevant subject (maths, science, geography). Alternative qualifications and relevant experience may also be considered.
Due to the specialist nature of this course and the level of study, we may recommend that students start on the level 3 bridging course, which will provide an introduction to quantity surveying at level 3.
This will be discussed with each applicant when they apply and will be based on their experience and qualifications.
The Level 4 BTEC Higher National Certificate in Construction and the Built Environment offers students a broad introduction to the subject area.
Throughout the course students will develop the skills and knowledge to enable them to meet the demands of employers and progress within the sector.
The surveying pathway is ideal for students who want to pursue a career in quantity surveying. Students will have the opportunity to apply critical reasoning and analysis techniques to solve surveying problems, using industry standards and appropriate codes of practice.

This course is designed to provide progression onto the Higher National Diploma (HND) top-up or a higher apprenticeship top-up. This will also then offer a route to study a top-up degree in quantity, building and land surveying as well as progression to professional body membership with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
