Make it higher
with an apprenticeship

Higher & degree apprenticeships

Our higher and degree apprenticeships combine college study with workplace learning. They offer a different route into professions which are traditionally filled by graduates.

Leeds College of Building was one of the first colleges in the UK to deliver higher apprenticeships in construction and the built environment. We work alongside employers and industry bodies to ensure each apprenticeship provides the skills required by the industry.

Although our higher apprenticeship programme has grown significantly over the past few years we are still small enough to care about the training and support that our apprentices receive.

Why LCB?

  • We can provide bespoke programmes tailored to employer needs
  • Our achievement rates for technical and professional apprenticeships are 80%, which is significantly higher than the national average
  • Programmes are available at level 4, 5 and 6 which enables apprentices to take a break between the different levels or complete their studies at the end of each level
  • We offer employers flexibility, including day and block release programmes
  • We produce award winning apprentices
  • We have highly knowledgeable staff who are experts in their field

We are hosting two events in May that will provide both employers and students the opportunity to find out more about the higher and degree apprenticeships that the College will be delivering. The events will also cover the progression opportunities for level 3 apprentices.
