We can confirm we have been notified of a positive test result by a member of staff; who works at the College’s North Street Campus, and we have taken guidance from the service introduced by Public Health England (PHE) to support colleges.

Currently, this occurrence has been contained, and there are no other reported cases at this time. The staff and students affected have been contacted and have been advised to self-isolate, in-line with public guidance.

Derek Whitehead, Principal & CEO said “We appreciate that this news may be of concern to staff, students and parents/carers, please be assured we are taking this very seriously and have rigorous standards in place. We are working closely with the DfE and Public Health England to minimise risk of further infection and ensure all campuses are as safe as possible for the College community."

Leeds College of Building remains open, and staff and students should attend as normal. To ensure we continue to keep the College community safe, please do not attend if you are showing any symptoms of Covid-19, and whilst on-site, we ask everyone to follow the Covid-19 measures that are in place.

If you have any concerns, the College Team can be contacted via email on
