Pathways to Construction Donation

Posted on 17 December 2018

The College has received a donation which will be used to help local businesses and apprentices.

The Pathway to Construction initiative, which supports companies employ apprentices, has made a significant donation to the College which will be used to help local businesses take on 70 new apprentices over the coming months.

Ian Billyard received a cheque from Geoff Lister, former LCB Governor and Chairman of the Cross-industry Construction Apprenticeship Task Force.

The donation comes at a time when the construction sector faces one of the largest skills shortages in recent years; requiring one new entrant into the industry every 70 seconds to meet the current labour demands
