Transport & Logistics Apprentice

Five years ago, I fled from Syria to the UK. I enrolled on the Leeds College of Building Transport Planning Technician Apprenticeship and am now an apprentice at Arup (the design, engineering, architecture and business consultation firm).

I overcame language and cultural challenges to achieve my goal of becoming an aspiring Transport Planner and in 2020 I won Apprentice of the Year in the Transport & Logistics category at the BAME Apprenticeship Awards.
