Entry requirements

You will need either a Level 2 BTEC Diploma (including mathematics at Merit or above) or a Level 3 NVQ Diploma in a Construction related area and/or 4 GCSEs at grades A*-C (grade 9-4) in English, mathematics and science.

Mature candidates with other experience or qualifications may also be considered.


Next steps

After completing this course there are a number of options available; depending on your final grade you could move onto a higher education course including a HNC/HND, higher apprenticeship or a degree at university, or you could seek employment.


Further information

You will study this course for 2 years. In the first year you will complete the Level 3 BTEC Subsidiary Diploma in Construction and the Built Environment. In the second year you will complete the Level 3 BTEC Diploma and specialise in Civil Engineering.

This course is equivalent to 2 A Levels.
