The Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Diploma in Construction and the Built Environment is intended as a Tech Level qualification, equivalent in size to two A Levels.
The content of this qualification has been developed in consultation with employers and professional bodies to ensure that it is appropriate for those interested in working in the sector.
It is recommended as a starting point for students who are new or have limited experience in the industry and will provide a very solid base to progress into Higher Education.
You will need either Level 2 BTEC Diploma (including mathematics at Merit or above) or a Level 3 NVQ Diploma a Construction related area and/or 4 GCSEs at grades A*-C (grade 9-4) including English, mathematics and science.
Mature candidates with other experience or qualifications may also be considered.
After completing this course there are a number of options available; depending on your final grade you could move onto a higher education course including a HNC/HND, higher apprenticeship or a degree at university, or you could seek employment.
