Entry requirements

Candidates will complete a basic skills assessment.

What would I learn at College?

This course provides a basic introduction to welding and is ideal for those who want to learn a new skill or move into employment.

The course is practical based and the learner will have the option to complete up to four welding options, these include:

  • Manual Metal Arc Welding
  • Metal Inert Gas MIG Welding
  • Oxyacetylene Welding
  • Tungsten Inert TIG Welding

To apply for this course you need to complete a basic skills assessment.

As the College is currently closed, BKSB skills assessments will need to be taken remotely.

Please complete the application form and a member of team will contact you with details on how you can take the assessment.

Please ensure you abide by the rules on taking the assessment, when your course starts, your English and Maths skills will be assessed again, to ensure you are on the correct course for the level you are at.
