Course overview

This Level 4 course provides a solid foundation for those working in the Civil Engineering Industry, equipping students with the core knowledge and practical skills needed to contribute effectively to the infrastructure projects.

Civil engineering senior technicians use and apply their technical knowledge, underpinned by scientific principles and theories, propose numerous suitable techniques, procedures and methods to undertake and deliver civil engineering solutions. They need to source, review, analyse and evaluate a range of data and information, perform advanced calculations, and analyse civil engineering problems to reach proven solutions.

Providing a stepping stone to further study, this course prepares students for progression to a Level 6 qualification, such as a BEng (Hons) in Civil Engineering. Graduates will be well-positioned to take on junior engineering roles in the industry while continuing their professional development.
