Do I need any experience to get started in construction?

For school leavers, we offer various level 1 courses to get you started. Once you’ve received this qualification you can either progress on to the level 2 qualification or find an employer to hire you as an apprentice.

What professional routes are available in construction?

There are a wide range of career paths in construction. If a trade isn’t for you, you can turn your skills towards the planning side of construction. If you’re creative, why not try design or engineering. If you are quite analytical and have great attention to detail, you’d make a great Quantity Surveyor or Transport Planner.

The list of options are endless.

What career prospects are there?

Depending on what you want out of life, there are options for you in construction. If you want to become self-employed one day and have the flexibility to work when and where you want, you could choose one of our trade courses.

If you want to climb the corporate ladder, you could work your way up to a Director in an already established company.

If you want to travel and take your skills to a different country, you can choose any course as the skills shortage in construction is international.
