Course overview

This qualification demonstrates the specialist knowledge and skills you need to be an approved electrician, including designing and installing systems, appropriate legislation, testing installations, issuing safety certificates.

Assessment will be through a multiple-choice test, a written assignment and a practical task.

Entry requirements

You must be working within the industry and hold a level 3 NVQ in electrical installation or equivalent.

Intended for experienced electricians who have never gained formal qualifications in inspection and testing or who may wish to update and reaffirm their skills.
