LCB is Growing

We’re expanding our North Street Campus with a major site acquisition.

The new building, adjacent to our North Street home, will significantly expand our facilities and open up new training opportunities.

The 5,000 m2 site on Melbourne Street will effectively increase the size of our estate by a third, marking a significant investment in our future growth

LCB was named one of the first ever Construction Technical Excellence Colleges (CTEC) in 2025. Only 10 colleges across England were awarded the, with us selected to represent the Yorkshire & the Humber region.

The ambition is for the network of CTEC hubs to partner with other local training providers and employers to improve training standards and train up to 40,000 people in high-demand trades by 2029, tackling construction skills shortages.

Leeds College of Building South Bank Campus

The acquisition strengthens our presence in an area where we have delivered education and skills for over 60 years.

Our North Street Campus is our original home, and we’ve been here since the 1960s.

Once refurbished, the new building will align North Street with our South Bank Campus, which opened its South Bank 1 building in 2015, following by South Bank 2 in 2019.

Both campuses are bursting at the seams with state-of-the-art teaching facilities fully equipped with all the latest tools and technology.
