Accessibility Statement

This statement was prepared in May 2025 and reviewed in June 2026 following an accessibility audit.

The website and the rest of the digital estate is run by LCB (Leeds College of Building). We would like as many people as possible to access and use this website and so we constantly monitor and improve the website’s accessibility with the aim to ensure AA compliance across it.

As part of this commitment, our plan of work to improve accessibility means you should be able to:

  • change colours/contrast levels,
  • zoom in to 300%
  • navigate using a keyboard, speech recognition software or listen via a screen reader.

We have also made the text as simple as possible to understand and LCB is committed to making their website accessible in accordance with Public Sector Bodies (Website and Mobile Applications) Accessibility Regulations 2018.

Please note that this accessibility statement refers to the public facing website that sit under lcb.ac.uk and doesn’t cover platforms used for student communication, learning, third-party transactional sites or staff intranet.

How accessible is our website?

The website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 AA standard, due to the non-compliances listed below.

  • Restrictions using a keyboard on certain parts of the website
  • Restrictions using zoom on certain parts of the website
  • Limited Carousel banners cannot be paused or hidden

We are working to improve the accessibility of the website and these changes are currently in progress. Due to these non-compliances, the website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 AA standard.
