Course overview

Working in franchise partnership with London South Bank University we can now deliver a Degree Apprenticeship in Construction Quantity Surveying, which carries full accreditation from the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB).

This course is designed to enable apprentices to gain an in-depth understanding of quantity surveying and wider aspects of the commercial roles in construction.

Apprentices will be on programme for 3 years, not including the End Point Assessment (EPA), and will be in full-time employment whilst attending the College on either a block release, or day release basis.

Apprentices will work towards the EPA with the CIOB and can be awarded membership status (MCIOB) status on completion.

Apprentices will be asked to complete an initial skill scan in which they will demonstrate knowledge, skills and behaviours gained against the criteria provided. This is reviewed throughout the apprenticeship to identify any gaps in knowledge, or progress made.

The course is specifically aimed at those wishing to progress on to careers in construction quantity surveying but will also allow entry into careers with project management companies, government agencies, local authorities and modelling specialists.

Typical job titles can include Construction Quantity Surveyor, Commercial Manager, Cost Manager, Procurement / Bid team member.
