Most Adults (19+) are entitled to free GCSE English tuition if they do not already have a grade 4 (or C) in the subject. Proof of eligibility is needed at enrolment.
Course overview
Whether you’re aiming for personal growth, a job promotion, exploring a career change, or looking to support your child with school and homework—our course is designed to help you build confidence, boost your skills, and unlock new opportunities.
Our GCSE English Language course develops your skills in reading, writing, and speaking & listening.
You’ll explore a wide range of texts designed to spark interest and deepen your understanding of how language works. Through this, you’ll:
- Enhance your writing with a focus on clarity, structure, and style
- Strengthen your reading skills by analysing language features, tone, and purpose
- Build confidence in spoken communication, including discussion, presentation, and active listening.
Throughout the course, your progress will be carefully tracked through a series of regular check-points and you will sit two externally set exams in May and June 2026.  You must be available on these set dates as they are not flexible. You will also be assessed by your tutor for your Speaking & Listening and you will gain a separate certificate for this.
As this is an intensive programme, you’ll be expected to complete additional tasks outside the classroom to build confidence and guarantee you’re fully prepared for your exams.
Please note that courses run subject to minimum viable class sizes. Daytime and evening classes are available for this course.

Entry requirements
You will be invited to do an initial assessment to ensure this is the right course for you. You also need to commit to attending each week and complete any additional set work in between classes – this is an intensive course over one academic year.
