Course overview

This two day practical workshop is aimed at anyone involved in the inspection and testing of portable electrical appliances.

Areas covered include:

  • Equipment construction
  • Inspection
  • Combined inspections and testing
  • Recording and use of electrical equipment
  • A 1 hour online examination will be taken at the end of the course

Candidate should read the following before attending the course: IEE Code of Practice for In-Service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment Exam Success IEE Code of Practice 2377.

Entry requirements

You should be employed within the industry. This course is aimed at all personnel inspecting and testing electrical equipment and covers the recording, interpretation of results and the labelling of equipment.
