Course overview

This is a Level 4 Building Services Engineering Technician apprenticeship.

If required, a Level 3, 1 year Bridging course to HE is available at an additional fee to prepare the candidate for the HTQ. This is dependent on the candidate’s current qualifications and industry experience.

The first year and second year of the level 4 apprenticeship includes a Higher Technical Qualification (HTQ) in Building Services Engineering with specific units including principles of heating services, building information modelling, construction practice & management and principles of ventilation and air conditioning.

The apprentice will complete an online portfolio of evidence which will be supervised by in-company mentors and LCB assessors.

Completion of the apprenticeship standard will be confirmed following the satisfactory conclusion of an end point assessment (EPA).
