This electrical course is ideal for those who want to pursue a career as an electrician.
Electrician's fit, test and repair electrical installations found in homes and businesses. This could include, fitting consumer units and circuit breakers, connecting wires to sockets, switches and light fittings and installing fire alarms.
Installation electricians follow architects or contractors plan to install new electricity equipment.
Our study programmes include a vocational qualification, English and maths, work experience and employability skills.
Students also have the opportunity to take part in sport and enrichment activities alongside their course.
You can easily transfer from a study programme onto an electrical apprenticeship course if you secure employment in the electrical industry.

No matter what level you are currently working at, you will continue learning English and maths throughout your course.
The course level you will be enrolled on will be dependent on your GCSE results. This will be discussed at your interview. Your interview will be confirmed after your application has been processed.
It is desirable that you have 3 GCSEs at grades A*-D (grade 9-3) in English, maths and science.
Students who experience difficulty in distinguishing colours due to their colour vision ability will be subject to a colour vision examination before enrolment onto this course.
After completing this course there are a number of options available; depending on your final grade you could move onto a electrical apprenticeship.
Please note this course is training only and to achieve the full trade NVQ qualification and become fully qualified, you must have on site experience and assessments.
