CITB Level 1 Health and Safety Awareness
Course overview:
This course is for those who are considering, or already, working within the construction and civil engineering industry. The course will provide you with health and safety knowledge when working on site to keep yourself and others safe and the importance of reporting unsafe acts to prevent accidents from happening.

- The need to prevent accidents
- Health and safety law
- How your role fits into the control and management of the site
- Risk assessments and method statements
- Performing safely and asking for advice
Required skills:
- Good communication skills
- English literacy skills
Assessment:
- Learners are assessed with a 30-minte multi-choice exam at the end of the course
Progression:
- This course is aimed at individuals who are looking to take steps towards obtaining a CSCS Labourers (Green) Card
*The Level 1 qualification must be renewed every 5 years before expiry date on your certificate. Completion of the Level 1 health and safety awareness 1 Day course renews the corresponding safety certificate for another 5 years.
