Student Services Helpdesk

There is a student services helpdesk available in both the North Street and South Bank campuses. The North Street student services helpdesk is located in the main reception area. The South Bank student services office is located in South Bank 1 and is off of the main atrium space on the ground floor.

Personal Adviser

Whether you’re on a study programme or an apprenticeship, you will be allocated an adviser to help you get the most out of your time at college. They can help with:

  • Careers information and guidance
  • Applications for employment or higher education
  • Support with academic difficulties
  • Help with personal problems and difficulties
  • Paying for courses and travelling to College

Financial Support

If you are worried about the costs associated with attending College, don’t worry, you may be eligible for financial support.

There is a range of financial support available including:

  • Half fare bus pass
  • Bursary and Learner Support fund
  • Free meals
  • Discounts from local suppliers for stationery, protective clothing and drawing equipment

Care Leaver Covenant

In order to demonstrate the ongoing commitment to care leavers shown by all 13 Higher Education partners, Go Higher West Yorkshire has updated its partnership-wide Care Leaver Covenant for 2023/24. The document makes it even easier to access all of the support, information and top tips offered by every partner in one, easy to navigate document.

Inclusive Learning Service (ILS)

We work hard to ensure everyone has the support they need to learn, achieve and enjoy college life. The Inclusive Learning Service Team are committed to working with students to help them overcome any barriers to learning they might face. You can develop your own Individual Support Plan and find ways of working that are unique to you and to meet your needs.

We can help you with the following:

  • Assistive equipment and technology
  • Study skills support
  • Strategies for making the most of studying with Special Educational Needs or Disabilities
  • Developing social skills and preparing for adulthood
  • Specialist support
