Course overview

The SSSTS covers the legal responsibilities of supervisors and the legal obligation of promoting all aspects of health and safety within their role. The course also provides an understanding of the welfare and environmental issues involved in work activities.


What will students learn?

The SSSTS course includes the following:

  • Legal and management
  • Health and Safety law
  • CDM regulations
  • Healthy and management safety systems
  • Risk assessments/Method statements
  • Leadership and worker engagement
  • Statutory inspections
  • Checks and monitoring
  • Health and welfare for construction site activities on site

Skills/behaviours required

Good communication skills and literacy skills are a requirement.
