Emma Grayshon

Civil Engineering Lecturer

Alongside her consultancy role as a chartered civil engineer in the transport and highways industry, Emma supports the College as an assessor in the Higher Education Apprenticeship team. Emma has worked as a part-time assessor since September 2014 and spends a lot of time on site visits evaluating the work-based experience of apprentices, and the skills learnt in industry.

Emma has many years of experience supervising the development of teams working in large, multidisciplinary firms and consultancies, and also acts as a tutor for engineering modules delivered by the Open University. With Emma’s experience and input, the College launched the new Transport Planning Apprenticeship in September 2016. Her understanding of what employers want in industry has been vital in bringing this sought-after course to the marketplace.
