Established in 1975, the ECA Edmundson Apprenticeship Award is the premier training award in the electrotechnical industry. The award aims to recognise outstanding apprentices who not only have good technical skills, but are role models for others in the industry. The award is sponsored by Edmundson Electrical with the administration and promotion from ECA.
This year Leeds College of Building and SES Engineering Services apprentice Dean Callaghan was runner up, and received a state of the art toolkit worth £250.
ECA president Jim Pridham said, “All the candidates here are an excellent example of what can be achieved with hard work, focus and commitment. They will surely go on to not only make a positive contribution to our industry, but also to our society as well.”
Edmundson Electrical managing director Mark Felber added, “Edmundson is delighted to have sponsored the industry-leading ECA Edmundson Apprentice of the Year Award for the last 45 years. We have a long-established policy of developing young people within our sector through both our apprenticeship and graduate schemes.
