Bricklaying students from the College recently visited a Keepmoat site where discussions took place regarding the different roles that their employees have, the customer service levels they strive to achieve and also the quality of the work that they produce.
Steve Roberts, Lecturer at the College thought it would be a great idea if Keepmoat could visit the College and deliver a talk to our students about how rewarding a career in the industry could be. Steve invited Keepmoat Construction Manager and the Community Liaison Officer to College to visit the students in their workshops.
A discussion took place with Andrew Sanderson, Construction Manager at Keepmoat regarding his career path and how he began in the industry, good traits of a trade person, the importance of learning from mistakes, being resilient and never giving in.
During the visit Andrew spent time talking to students about their practical work and supporting and encouraging them to give their best.
