Leeds College of Building is thrilled to announce our enthusiastic participation in South Asian Heritage Month (SAHM) through a captivating weekly blog series titled 'Stories to Tell'.

SAHM aims to celebrate the rich cultural heritage, achievements, and contributions of individuals from South Asian backgrounds. We extend a warm invitation to all our students, wider communities, partners, and friends to join us in celebrating this special month.

South Asian Heritage Month is a significant annual event celebrated across the United Kingdom during the month of July/August. It serves as an opportunity to explore and appreciate the diverse heritage of South Asian communities, and this year, the theme is 'Stories to Tell'.

Through our blog series, we aspire to share remarkable stories that reflect the triumphs, challenges, and experiences of individuals from South Asian backgrounds. These stories will be told by our esteemed governors, talented students, dedicated employer partners, and Leeds College of Building representatives.

Our blog series will feature a wide range of narratives, highlighting the inspiring journeys and achievements of South Asian individuals in various fields such as construction, engineering, architecture, and many others. From personal anecdotes to professional successes, these stories will serve as a source of inspiration, empowerment, and celebration for our entire community.

At Leeds College of Building, we embrace diversity and value the contributions of all our students, staff, and partners. South Asian Heritage Month provides us with a unique opportunity to showcase the rich tapestry of South Asian cultures and traditions within our learning environment. By sharing these stories, we aim to foster understanding, appreciation, and unity among our students from South Asian heritage and the wider Leeds community.
