Well done to two of our students who have been shortlisted for The BAME Apprenticeship of the Year Awards for Transport and Logistics.
The BAME Apprenticeship Awards aim to showcase the range of talent and hard work within the BAME communities, which is made possible with the contribution of employers and learning providers who share these beliefs.
There were over 300 nominations for the awards received nationally across a wide range of categories.
Hiba (apprentice at Arup) has overcome adversity and cultural difference to learn English, challenge stereotypes and become a Transport Planning apprentice Technician; having moved to the UK 5 years ago escaping the war in Syria. Hiba has excelled at Arup and with her work at LCB.
Amelia (apprentice at TFL) commenced her apprenticeship at 16 years old at Transport for London and has consistently shown incredible dedication, attention to details and has shown excellence in all elements of her college work as well as her job where she has been praised by managers and colleagues alike.
The awards ceremony will take place on Tuesday 24 November. We wish our students the best of luck.
